November 10, 1938 – October 17, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Dorothy Marie Baca, who left us peacefully on October 17, 2025.

Dorothy was born in Anton Chico, New Mexico, on November 10, 1938, and was raised in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She attended Robertson High School and proudly graduated with the Class of 1959. Dorothy went on to build a long and fulfilling career at Kaiser Permanente, where she dedicated nearly 40 years of service before retiring in Bellflower, California.

Dorothy was known for her vibrant personality, her love of dancing, and her passion for traveling. She cherished time spent with her friends and family and brought joy and laughter wherever she went.

She is reunited in heaven with her beloved son, Chris Baca, and daughter, Valerie Arnold.

Dorothy is survived by her loving daughters, Bernadette Yrigoyen and Frances Baca; her cherished grandchildren, Alisha Solis, Michelle Amaro, Lisamarie Eljada, Rachael Quintana, Angeline Gamboa, Johnny Yrigoyen, Alicia Baca, Adriana Gamboa, Erik Aragon, Alexis Padilla, Adrian Gutierrez, Linda Gutierrez, Angelique Gutierrez, and Vanessa Gutierrez; as well as her adored great-grandchildren, Armando Ortega, Jonathan Torrez, Vanity Quintana, Daniel Torrez, David Eljada, Layla Quintana, Nathan Altamirrez, Cruz Quintana, Naya Eljada, Genevieve Torrez, Asher Carrillo, Ethan Torrez, Theo Carrillo, and Aziel Corona.

Dorothy’s love, warmth, and strong spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered forever.
